Buhari lies
Buhari supporters
Nigerians who were already tired of the PDP-led administration decided to try this change and it appears a few of the president's promises are fantastically unbelievable.Having won the Elections fairly and squarely defeating Goodluck Johnathan, we take out time to outline the crazy promises made by President Buhari during his campaign days and the results so far.
Check them out below:
1. I will reduce the price of fuel to 45 Naira per litre.
Those who believed this fallacy forgot to ask themselves if Buhari is OPEC or even an economist.
2. There will be free education at all levels
With the rise in school fees all over Nigeria and the over 100% hike in fees in Edo state during the 2015/2016 Academic year, this promise still remains in the shadows.
3. I will pay 23 million Nigerians 5,000 Naira.
This should have been "i would tour the world spending over 23 million naira on each travel"
4. I will increase minimum wage and place every graduate in salary for extra 1 year after their youth service.
Let's not go there, with the call for the scrapping of the NYSC scheme by undergraduates,it shows that Life in camp is nothing but rough receiving 19,800 naira that won't last 2weeks for a month.
5. One free meal (to include fruits) daily, for public primary school pupils.
An obvious lie in a corrupt Nigeria,so sad that most persons still fell for this cheap lie
6. I will revive all our refinery in my first one year in office and build more to produce more for our domestic consumption.
One year is gone and nothing to show in refineries reawakening rather he his clamouring for the sales of these refineries that are under utilized; a negation of the promise.
7. I will crush Boko Haram in my first 3 months in office.
We must laud his efforts and those of the army here, especially in the rescue of some of the kidnapped chibok girls. However, this didn't happen within 3months and hence it was a lie.
8. Three million Jobs per year.
It interestingly seems that this government is planning to increase unemployment with the almost clueless policies and hike in unemployment rates.
9. I will stop importation of refined products. 10. Stabilizing the naira. That was our president's fantastic promises to Nigerians.
10. Stabilizing the naira.

This piece does not aim to castigate the presnt administration rather it is meant to jack their consciousness on the initial optimism it had.
